Special-shaped ring forgings are a type of ring forgings with complex cross-sectional shapes. They typically consist of an outer ring, an inner ring, and a specific cross-sectional profile, and may include additional features such as bosses and grooves. With their unique cross-sectional design and high-strength materials, they can withstand complex loads and stress distributions, ensuring the stability and reliability of the equipment.
They have a wide size range and can be customized according to specific requirements. Both dimensional accuracy and machining margin can be optimized based on materials and processes. Generally, special-shaped ring forgings with an outer diameter of less than 1 meter and relatively small cross-sectional dimensions (e.g., cross-sectional height less than 0.3 meters) are referred to as small-sized special-shaped ring forgings; those with an outer diameter between 1-3 meters and cross-sectional dimensions within 0.3-0.8 meters are classified as medium-sized; and those with an outer diameter exceeding 3 meters or cross-sectional dimensions larger than 0.8 meters are called large-sized special-shaped ring forgings.
